NLC Theatre Presents One-Act Plays Set in Rural Texas

North Lake College Theatre Company will delight audiences this week by offering two plays by James McLure: Lone Star and Laundry and Bourbon. The fictional plays, which have only six characters each, are set in a tiny rural town in Texas named Maynard in the early '70s, where the characters are down and out in a number of ways. Spring Dance Concert

This spring's NLC student dance concert is presented in a reality TV-style format: First, the audience will watch a short video of early rehearsals from the practice rooms. Then the screen goes up and the finished dances are presented live. The nine performances showcase a variety of dance styles, plus songs from The Greatest Showman and A Star is Born. As always, the dance concert is completely free and open to the general public.
