NLC Theatre Presents One-Act Plays Set in Rural Texas

North Lake College Theatre Company will delight audiences this week by offering two plays by James McLure: Lone Star and Laundry and Bourbon. The fictional plays, which have only six characters each, are set in a tiny rural town in Texas named Maynard in the early '70s, where the characters are down and out in a number of ways. Homecoming at North Lake College

The Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD) is hosting its second annual homecoming celebration. This October, the seven colleges of DCCCD will welcome thousands of students, both past and present, to revel in all things fall fun. Attend the Veterans Mental Health Summit

In partnership with North Texas Veterans Administration Medical Services, the Veterans Mental Health Summit will take place from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Eastfield College’s Pleasant Grove campus on Sept. 17, and at the North Lake College main campus on Sept. 20. The summit agenda both days will include a keynote speaker, three talk sessions, a resource fair and lunch for participants.
